Massacre; Sabra & Shatila

In 1982, the Israeli army invaded Lebanon, as a result, the Palestinian Liberation Organization PLO, mostly fighters departed the country. Soon after, Israeli forces surrounded the Palestinian Refugee Camps of Sabra and Shatila allowing the massacre of more that 1500 innocent Palestinian and Lebanese; mostly elderly, children and women. Director Kassem Hawal arrives on the next morning to the massacre and starts documenting the horrific events and recording survivals’ accounts. The film also includes an interview with two Israeli officers who were captured by PLO fighters prior to the massacre.
